Molly McWilliams Wilkins is a Macon native and a Mercer University graduate, having studied Political Science and History. Her writing career started in college when she bugged editors at her local newspaper, The Telegraph, enough to publish her first story. After that came writing for Macon Food & Culture, the 11th Hour, Macon Magazine, Bourbon & Boots, Paste Magazine, and the Knight Foundation.
Molly started a blog in 2011 so that she could write about items other than what she was allowed to do in her freelance career. Out of this would come Southern Bon Vivant: a website specializing in fashion, food, travel, and lifestyle across the South with a retail line of candles and other fun items. Southern hospitality & style is something anyone, with any budget, can take home with them.
Gena McWilliams, Molly’s mother, is also a Macon native and a University of Georgia graduate. Gena taught art for over 25 years in Macon, Georgia schools. Her artwork has also been exhibited across the state of Georgia. She is able to draw upon her arts and crafts background to create delicious & exquisite items for Southern Bon Vivant.
Lily Kate & Bishop: brother and sister, as well as Molly’s children. They discovered that they loved making jewelry, and with their mother’s guidance are launching Lily + B: Children’s Jewelry. The goal is to offer fun and affordable jewelry to kids, along with teaching Lily Kate and Bishop everything that it takes to run a business.
